Everything Except the Cover Artwork - It was great to finally hunt down this soundtrack. Previously I had to settle for a Best of Mike Curb CD to acquire the title song, as well as the Hank Williams Jr. For the Love of Sunshine tracks. In reference to my title, the one thing I did upon playing the new complete CD for the first time was to take the booklet inside of the jewel case and turn it around. In that manner the original KELLY S HEROES movie poster serves as the cover of the CD rather than the cartoonish artwork on the other side.What you get with this CD is soundtrack music from the entire movie. There are some short snippets missing, such as the original recording of the rather poor French band playing polkas at the end of the film, but overall the CD is complete. Please note that the CD tracks are not necessarily in order of their appearance in the film. If so you would expect Burning Bridges to appear as the first track, and then twice afterward. However it appears as track number 15.If there are any future reissues of this CD my only recommendation would be for it to include some of the classic movie soundbytes in between the musical numbers. There are a lot of quotable quotables from KELLY S HEROES.
Remastered Limited Edition of 3000 - I have always been a big fan of Clint Eastwood and Lalo Schifrin, what a combination! But I never realized Lalo Schifrin did the soundtrack to this movie, until now. I was always keen to get my hands on a copy of the soundtrack just for the track Burning Bridges, with this Limited Edition of 3000, you get 3 versions. If you are familiar with Lalo Schifrin s other soundtracks, you will notice hints of Enter the Dragon Dirty Harry and Hell in the Pacific There is a good cross section of music here to keep any movie buff happy. The liner notes are great, 14 pages of info plus heaps of colour photos from the movie.
